is to first uninstall the older version using

Then reboot, and download and reinstall QuickTime.
If you are behind a firewall, and can't receive the stream,
try changing your transport settings:
On a PC, go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>QuickTime>
Advanced>Transport Setup>Custom>Transport Protocol: HTTP, Port ID 80.
On older Mac OSX go to Apple>System Preferences>QuickTime>Advanced
